A Ministry of St. Mark’s
The Food Pantry works with CAC (Community Action Coalition) and Second Harvest Food Bank to provide staples to anyone in need of food that resides in Dane County. Participants are allowed to choose their own food based on food preferences and dietary needs.
Food Pantry Hours
Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Thursdays from 5:15 to 7:30 PM
People may participate once every twenty eight to thirty days.
(The Food Pantry will be closed on some holidays.)
Supporting Families at 185% of Poverty Level
It is recommended that the Food Pantry support families who are at 185% of the poverty level. For example, a family of four may have an income of $55,500. That may sound like a solid middle class salary but if they also have unexpected medical bills or other unpaid bills, they are welcome at the food pantry. Guests do not show us their financial situation, only an ID. This is just an example to demonstrate we would like to support families who may be working but still struggling financially.
Tony Esser, Food Ministry Coordinator
Barb Zimmerman, Food Pantry Assistant
The Food Pantry is always in need of donations. Donations from individuals and groups can be dropped off during Food Pantry hours. If any group; church youth groups, boy scouts, girl scout troops, and civic groups would like to do a food drive to benefit the food pantry, please contact the church at email@example.com.
Items that are frequently needed at the pantry include:
Beef Ramen Noodles
Chicken Ramen Noodles
Fruit cocktail, canned
Corn muffin mix
Bar of Soap
Any size zip lock bags
Thank you for your donations, together, we can feed our neighbor-hoods … one family at a time!
